Tinubu Vows to Unlock Nigeria’s Wealth Potential
President Bola Tinubu has declared that Nigeria’s immense human and natural resources should banish poverty from the nation. He made this commitment during a meeting with a 62-member delegation from Rivers State, consisting of leaders from both the ruling APC and the opposition PDP.
Tinubu emphasized that Nigeria should never be impoverished given its abundant resources. He pledged to lead the nation toward prosperity, stating that Nigerians were not lazy but richly endowed. He also emphasized his determination to work tirelessly for the nation’s benefit, with a focus on creating wealth for all citizens.
Infrastructure development in Rivers State was a key topic during the meeting, with Tinubu acknowledging the need to address pressing concerns, especially regarding the East-West Road’s Eleme Junction-Onne axis. He noted that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike would play a pivotal role in addressing these infrastructure challenges.
Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers expressed gratitude on behalf of the delegation, highlighting that this was the first time Rivers State had truly felt the impact of the Federal Government since the advent of democracy in 1999. Fubara commended Tinubu for securing a $14 billion investment approval for projects nationwide, including significant expansion in Eleme, Rivers.
In summary, President Tinubu’s vision for Nigeria centers on harnessing the nation’s abundant resources to eliminate poverty and foster prosperity. His commitment to infrastructure development and cooperation across political divides underscores his dedication to driving positive change in Nigeria.
