Mowe-Ofada Road Nears Completion, Promises Governor Abiodun
Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has assured the public that the extensive eight-kilometer Mowe-Ofada road is on track for completion by the end of October. This announcement came during the Governor’s inspection of the road’s progress, where he also gave the green light for the rehabilitation of Adesan Road in the same area following appeals from local representatives.
Governor Abiodun acknowledged that the road had deteriorated despite a prior administration’s rehabilitation contract, which only resulted in the binder course and drainage work. Demonstrating a commitment to continuity in governance, the current administration renegotiated with the contractor and allocated funds to ensure the project’s resumption and completion.
Local community leaders, including the Baale of Mowe, Alhaji Yahaya Oriyomi, the Baale of Asese (who also serves as the Public Relations Officer of the Council of Baales in the state) Chief Kasunmu Jamiu Sonola, and the Iyaloja of Mowe, Alhaja Morufat Adebiyi, expressed their appreciation to Governor Abiodun for prioritizing these critical infrastructure projects.
