Governor Zulum Transformation 77 Projects Unveiled to Revolutionize Borno State

Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing and inaugurating a total of 77 crucial projects spanning education, healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure. These initiatives represent a pivotal step toward enhancing service delivery and improving the overall quality of life for the residents of Borno State.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Bukar Tijjani, unveiled these projects during a ceremony in Maiduguri. These projects, which were executed between May 29, 2023, and September 6, 2023, underscore Governor Zulum’s unwavering commitment to advancing the state’s development agenda during his second term in office.

In the field of education, Governor Zulum has overseen the completion of ten projects, including the establishment of three mega schools. These schools, equipped with 80 classrooms, administrative facilities, and sports infrastructure, are strategically located in Alakaramti, Gambouru Liberty, Jidda, and Shuwari II Primary School, named in honor of the late SSG, Usman Jidda Shuwa, within the Maiduguri metropolis.

The formal inauguration of these schools took place during Vice President Kashim Shettima’s official two-day visit to the state. Additionally, the government has hired 4,000 new teachers to bolster the ranks of educators in public primary and secondary schools, further strengthening the education sector.

In the healthcare sector, the government has completed the construction and establishment of four primary healthcare centers, significantly improving healthcare access for Borno’s residents. Moreover, Governor Zulum’s administration has distributed drugs worth N800 million to General Hospitals, further enhancing healthcare services across the state.

Governor Zulum has also made substantial investments in security, procuring 50 new patrol vehicles and 300 motorcycles for security agencies. This initiative aims to fortify security measures and maintain law and order in the state.

In a move to support the state’s workforce, the government has procured 55 buses for civil service workers, improving transportation options for employees.

Governor Babagana Zulum’s administration has made remarkable strides across various sectors, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the welfare and development of Borno State and its residents.
