Requirements: –

  • Minimum of first degree in a Social Sciences, Pure and Biological Sciences or Engineering.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in financial services operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory position within operations, preferably in a commercial bank, finance house or growth-stage Fintech.
  • Must have a robust knowledge of banking and fintech operations; settlement and reconciliation; general ledger management on core banking systems, banking use-cases and transaction flows.
  • Possess working knowledge of local and global prudential guidelines touching on credit and operations risk management.
  • Advanced Excel Usage; Credit operations, bank and financial statement analysis.
  • In depth understanding of process design and documentation; General ledger management, settlement analysis and e-payment fraud prevention.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, which includes team coaching, coordination and public speaking.
  • Efficient communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a cross-functional team.
  • Desire and aptitude for learning new concepts on the job.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex technical issues.
  • Proactiveness; going beyond the obvious, gathering complex data to get to the heart of issues.
  • Time management – Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, manage deadlines and work efficiently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
