Tinubu Bold Vision Prioritizing Nigerians Welfare in a Billion-Naira Initiative

Vice President Kashim Shettima has reiterated President Bola Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to prioritizing the welfare of Nigerians. Shettima made this statement during the launch of a N5.1 billion palliative distribution program by the Sokoto State government.

He praised Tinubu as a compassionate leader who consistently strives to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians, particularly the vulnerable. Shettima also emphasized that Tinubu’s administration is actively working on comprehensive programs aimed at improving citizens’ living conditions.

The Vice President commended Sokoto State for its commendable efforts in distributing palliatives and called on other states to follow this example. He also acknowledged the state government’s donation of operational vehicles to security agencies, recognizing the vital role of peace and order in driving development.

Shettima expressed his appreciation to BUA Group, a local cement production company, for contributing 10 patrol vehicles to security agencies and encouraged other private organizations to follow suit in supporting security agencies.

During the event, Shettima inaugurated the N5.3 billion Rijiyar Doruwa flyover, a project undertaken by the state government.

Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto revealed the state’s commitment to assisting security agencies in addressing security challenges. He disclosed that N5.1 billion had been allocated for the procurement of grains to be distributed free of charge to residents, regardless of their religion or political affiliation.

Additionally, the event marked the launch of a transportation scheme, featuring 20 Toyota Camry cars exclusively designated for women’s use and 50 mass transit buses for affordable inter-city transportation services.
