Tinubu Diplomatic Triumph Visa Ban Lifted, Omokri Praises President Leadership

Renowned political figure and member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Reno Omokri, has praised President Bola Tinubu for his role in swiftly resolving the visa ban imposed on Nigerian travelers by the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Following a meeting between Tinubu and the UAE President, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, an agreement was reached to lift the visa ban, enabling Etihad Airlines and Emirates Airlines to promptly resume their flight schedules to and from Nigeria.

Omokri, known for his political commentary, commended President Tinubu’s efforts, emphasizing the importance of acknowledging effective leadership irrespective of political affiliations. He also called for Tinubu’s intervention in addressing visa bans imposed by Ethiopia and Seychelles on Nigerian passport holders.

In his Facebook post, Omokri stated, “It is very commendable that President Tinubu has been able to get the visa ban the UAE placed on Nigeria’s passport lifted. This is the type of leadership that Waziri Atiku Abubakar would also have brought to Nigeria and which has been missing for the last eight years. Now that he has accomplished this, I urge the President to send his foreign minister to Ethiopia and Seychelles to secure the lifting of their own visa bans on the Nigerian passport. Once again, I commend the President and also salute the astute trade deals he was able to strike for Nigeria in both India and the UAE. Trade means jobs. And Nigerians need jobs. So much kudos is due to the president.”

Omokri’s statement underscores his willingness to recognize positive leadership actions that transcend political boundaries. He emphasizes the importance of diplomatic achievements for Nigeria and the need to address visa bans imposed by other countries, highlighting the significance of these developments for the nation.
